Think all film stunts are now just done digitally? Think again. Watch a behind the scenes clip from Assassin's Creed...

Damien Walters is a British gymnast, stuntman and parkour practitioner. He is also Michael Fassbender's stunt double and the man who performs the 125 foot "Leap of Faith" that is so familiar to players of the game the Assassin's Creed film is based on. In the clip, the producers explain why a digital character wasn't used and we see the "practise jumps" from various height before the final 125 foot dive is attempted, the first time a stuntman has done a free-fall from so high in 35 years.

Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.

Starring Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of Future Past, 12 Years a Slave) and Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises, La Vie en Rose), the film is directed by Justin Kurzel (Snowtown, Macbeth) and opens in cinemas worldwide on December 21st, 2016.
