Film/TV - Golden Globe 2017 Winners

La La Land topped the list of Golden Globe nominations but who won what when the winners were announced overnight? ...

Well, the answer is ALL OF THEM. At least, all seven that the film got nominated for, including the "big 4" for the Musical or comedy films - Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress. In the drama categories, Moonlight got Best Picture, with Casey Affleck picking up the Best Actor award for Manchester by the Sea and Isabelle Huppert getting the Best Actress award for her role in Elle, which also won best Foreign Film. The other big winner of the night on the TV side of the awards was The Night Manager with all three of the main actors (Tom Hiddlestone, Hugh Laurie and Olivia Coleman) picking up awards. The Crown also came out on top for Best TV Drama and a Best Actress Award for Claire Foy so it was a good night for the Brits. More importantly though, HBO came away with ... nothing. Westworld missed out on all the awards it was up for. Likewise for Mr Robot, with Rami Malek and Christian Slater missing out to Billy Bob Thornton and Hugh Laurie respectively.
