#NotBaconBits - From Paul Simon to...

Yesterday we played Graceland by Paul Simon. So what song was chosen for today's #NotBaconBits connection? You can thank @JimJamGin for this one...

As always for #NotBaconBits, once you've listened to today's choice, we're looking for your suggestions for tomorrow's track. Join in by tweeting us your suggestions @albiemediaAM with the #NotBaconBits hashtag or adding your suggestions in the comments of our #NotBaconBits Facebook posts - remember the link can be as simple or contrived as you want, in any music genre (it doesn't have to be classical or pop) and you can link to anything about the song - the title, the artist, words in the song, something about the video ... anything as long as you can explain how you got there and show your workings. If we pick your suggestion for the next song link in the chain, you'll get the credit in that day's article and shout outs on our social networking streams.

There were covers aplenty in the connection suggestions to link to yesterday's #NotBaconBits. @STBWrites suggested the John Belushi cover of the Joe Cocker cover of a Traffic song on Saturday Night Live, while @Wolfpaw36 went for Annie Lennox's cover of the Procol Harum classic A Whiter Shade of Pale. However, it's no pale imitations for @JimJamGin, who went for some original Art [I see what you did there - Ed] with his very succinct connection suggestion:

Paul Simon -> Simon and Garfunkel -> Art Garfunkel -> art … Art for Art’s Sake, 10cc.

And who are we to argue with art? So here's the almost nine minutes live version of the song, originally from the album How Dare You ...

So now it's your turn. What song would you connect to this one? Something else arty? Maybe something linking to the album title? Or the band members? Let us know and we'll maybe play it for tomorrow morning's #NotBaconBits.
