SotD - Saturday Throwback: Murder Incorporated

Bruce Springsteen Murder Incorporated

Steve Taylor-Bryant talks The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, and reminds you all of his favourite Springsteen tune for our Saturday Throwback Song of the Day - Murder Incorporated...

You got a job downtown, man that leaves your head cold,

Everywhere you look life ain't got no soul,

That apartment you live in feels like it's just a place to hide,

When you're walkin' down the street you won't meet no one eye to eye.

Let's face it. Bruce Springsteen is a very special singer songwriter. You may not be the worlds biggest fan but everyone has a Bruce tune they love, still listen to and enjoy. Whether it's the old E Street Band stuff, or even the new E Street Band stuff he's touring now, whether it's 80's rock God stuff like Born in the USA or Born to Run, or whether, like me it's 90's Springsteen you love, there is a song for everyone. Personally I think his lyrics are better in the 90's stuff, a more mature storyteller if you will. Song like Secret Garden and Streets of Philadelphia are epic in their lyrics and musical scope, this being said my choice for this days SotD whilst released in '95 is an unused session song from 1982's Born in the USA.

My favourite Bruce Springsteen song... Murder Incorporated.
