TV - Emmy Awards

The winners of the 70th Emmy Awards have been announced overnight...

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel did, well, marvellously catching five of the seven comedy awards at last night's Emmys.  It missed out only on lead and supporting actor which went to Barry (and earned Henry "The Fonz" Winkler his first Emmy Award in the process). Other multi-award winners included The Assassination of Gianni Versace with 3 awards, and The Crown, Godless, The Americans and Game of Thrones all netting 2 each on the night, with Peter Dinklage finally getting a Supporting Actor award. Game of Thrones was also the big winner when we add in the Creative Emmys which added another 7 to its tally, with Saturday Night Live a surprise second alongside the Marvelous Mrs Maisel with 8.

But the big travesty is that Twin Peaks, although it received 9, yes NINE, nominations, never got anything. The awards are not what they seem...

Anyway.

Back when the nominations were announced, Steve and Susan cast their square eyes over some of the categories. Here's the list of winners and how their predictions did...
