Listen Again - Filmhouse Friday

Every Friday, Daniel White takes over the airwaves at the online radio station Incapable Staircase for 90 minutes of some of the best songs used in films, along with "occasionally interesting bits of information." Catch up with yesterday's show...

Here's this week's playlist:

Let's Go Crazy [Dearly Beloved... - Ed] - The artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince - Kingsman
What Have You Done For Me Lately (chair dancing mandatory) - Janet Jackson - cheaty cheaty TV show
People Are People [astute observation - Ed] - Depeche Nope - cheaty cheaty TV show 2, the sequel
Smooth Criminal - the other "sort of famous" Jackson - The quite frankly bizarre Moonwalker
Everybody's Happy Nowadays (well, some people are) - Ash [bless you - Ed] - Shaun of the Dead
Teenage Dirtbag [baby] - the astonishingly talented Wheatus - Loser
[lalalalala she's got] The Look - Roxette - 47 Metres Down: Uncaged [and GTAIV - Ed]
The King of Wishful Thinking - Go West [young man - Ed] - Pretty Woman obviously
Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick [it's nice to be a lunatic - Ed] - the much missed Ian Dury and The Blockheads - Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll
Material Girl - Madge - Sackboy (which just sounds weird)
[She put the lime in the] Coconut - Harry Nilsson - Res Dogs
Let's Stay Together [Why? - Ed] - Al Green - Pulp Fiction
Suddenly I See - K T Tunstall is awesome - The Devil Wears Prada apparently
Wanted Dead or Alive - Bonbon Jovi - Young Guns [having some fun? Oh, different song - Ed]
(Everything I Do) I Do It For You [every day for sixteen weeks in a row - Ed] - Bryan Adams - Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and chart positions
A Kind of Magic - There can be only one Queen - Highlander
Seven Nation Army (aka oh Jeremy Corbyn) - The White Stripes - Suicide Squad [no "the" - Ed]
Easy [other gaming levels are available - Ed] - Commodores [FNM did it better - Ed] - Babydriver
Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits [check out guitar George, he's got all the chords - Ed] - Argo [I'll go too then. What's for lunch? - Ed]

iNCAPABLE STAiRCASE is an internet-based community station that is passionate about real radio; unrehearsed and raw, but it is precisely this that makes it so easy to listen to. The station has been running for just over a year and was set up by Bella and James at the start of the first Covid lockdown last year.

As news of the restrictions became public Bella and James decided to create an online radio station that would allow people to share their music, their opinions and their creativity in a space free from censorship and interference. In five minutes they had a name, randomly created by a word generator, and a logo. The heart of the station is you, it's me and its attraction is growing. With over 60 DJ's broadcasting each week, live from their own homes, and with plans for festivals and much more, now would be a great time to tune in. 2021 will prove that iNCAPABLE STAiRCASE is, in fact, very capable of stepping up and taking on the radio big names.
