This year’s Christmas idents for BBC One have been revealed and feature characters from The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse, ahead of the animated film’s premiere on BBC One and iPlayer over the festive period...


Created especially for the BBC by the film’s animators, the three 40-second idents show Charlie Mackesy’s beloved characters across day, dusk and night scenes.

About The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse

A story of kindness, friendship, courage and hope for viewers of all ages in a heart-warming, hand-drawn traditionally animated film based on Charlie Mackesy’s book, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. The poignant and heartfelt journey follows the unlikely friendship of a boy, a mole, a fox and a horse travelling together in the boy’s search for home.
