Film - Valerian

Watch the trailer for Luc Besson's film Valerian, then find out how you can (apparently) get your own customised version...

Let's get the serious part over with first - here's the synopsis of the film.

Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are special operatives for the government of the human territories charged with maintaining order throughout the universe.

Under directive from their Commander (Clive Owen), Valerian and Laureline embark on a mission to the breathtaking intergalactic city of Alpha, an ever-expanding metropolis comprised of thousands of different species from all four corners of the universe. Alpha’s seventeen million inhabitants have converged over time- uniting their talents, technology and resources for the betterment of all. Unfortunately, not everyone on Alpha shares in these same objectives; in fact, unseen forces are at work, placing our race in great danger.

Described as "Dune meets The Fifth Element" and with a cast list that includes Dane DeHaan, Cara Delevingne, Clive Owen, Rihanna (yes really, that's her in the trailer,) Ethan Hawke, John Goodman, Herbie Hancock, Rutger Hauer (squee) and Kris Wu, it has been a long time pet project of Luc Besson's to adapt the classic Frence graphic novel series, Valerian and Laureline, into a film and he has chosen two particular novels to make up the film - Bad Dreams, where the characters first meet, and the main plot will follow the story in Empire of a Thousand Planets.

Watch the official trailer below. It looks stunning (but hopefully isn't going to be style over substance)

NOW, it seems that you can get your own customised version of the trailer by leaving a comment on Europa Corp US's own YouTube trailer. They take your comment and add it in to the start of trailer... whether or not it is positive and glowing as some of these screen grabs below show. I think they may well be asking for trouble with this idea... find all of the "reactions" teasers here and let us know on Twitter, Facebook or in the comments below of any other less than glowing ones you find - you only need to watch the first 4 seconds or so.
