Today at the Proms - Prom 29 & 30

Continuing our daily coverage of what's on at The Proms 2019, Susan Omand has a quick look at the programme for Proms 29 and 30: The Warner Brothers Story ...

Reminder: Watch Prom 30 AND Prom 27 (so a full night of film music) on BBC Four

You may think that we have two proms today and, technically, I guess you'd be right but it looks like it's a repeat in the evening of what's on in the afternoon, which feels like a bit of a swizz to me.

However, I guess we shouldn't complain as there's lots of different music on offer, even if it is repeated, because it's The Warner Brothers Story and well known songs from movies in the Golden Age of Hollywood.

From the Deadwood Stage to a Streetcar Named Desire, from The Desert Song to the Treasure of Sierra Madre, there will be something here that everyone knows so you can dance, dance, dance all night.

Twice.

Here's the full programme for this evening's Prom which you can listen to live from 19:30 on Radio 3 or on the iPlayer
